The position of Project Manager is a key role in the execution of our projects. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the contract financials, schedule, subcontractor commitments, project purchasing, leading meetings, and maintaining positive project owner, engineer and architect relationships.  The Construction Project Manager is very knowledgeable about Multi-Family construction processes and is able to adapt to projects of different sizes and complexities.  This position meets with the executive team regularly and completes thorough project schedule and financial update reporting.  The Construction Project Manager is a critical thinker and an excellent problem solver. 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the effective execution of projects. 

  • Daily communication with field personnel 

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget. 

  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. 

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. 

  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. 

  • Report and escalate to management as needed. 

  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. 

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks. 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors/subcontractors. 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. 

  • Select appropriate construction methods and strategies. 

  • Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to workers and other professionals. 

  • Report on work progress and budget matters to owners and executive leadership. 

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists. 

  • Instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite. 

  • Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies. 

  • Select, negotiate, and execute subcontractor commitments. 

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations. 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or construction Project Management (Preferred). 

  • Previous experience in Multi-Family Project Management (1 Year) or Assistant Project Management (3 Years). 

  • High performance expectations for yourself and the team. 

  • Be able to work independently while taking direction from management. 

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage tight deadlines. 

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience. 

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. 

  • Professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to portray Crestline in a positive manner. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills. 

  • Very proficient in Procore, Microsoft Schedule, and Microsoft Office. 

  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and complete take-offs. 

  • Valid Driver’s License.
